A soft black with a lived-in look. The wide rim carries fine streaks and etching, as if it had already spent years on a favourite coat, and the shaping is a touch asymmetrical. The four holes sit in a sunken centre.
At 34 mm this is a proper coat button, and it is surprisingly light for its size. If it were me, I would put it on a charcoal or camel wool coat, or on a chunky knit cardigan where a heavier button would pull the fabric down.
